Tips to conserve water outdoors

Tips to conserve water!

With various areas of Texas being flooded and some not seeing any rain, it’s important to always try and conserve water as much as possible. It’s Texas! You never know what weather is going to hit you at what point!

Here are some helpful tips to conserve water from Real Property Management LonestarConserve Water in Texas

Drip Irrigation:

Drip Irrigation delivers moisture and water straight to the plant root system which minimizes evaporation. There are several varieties of drip systems that are designed for shrubs, flowers and trees and even for flower planters. Check your local hardware store for different types of irrigation systems.

Check for Major Leaks in Hoses, Washers and Spigots

Leaks can be costly and can sneak up on you since they are not always easy to see. Check all hoses and washers to make sure that there are no leaks where you can lose water.

Check your local City Watering Plan

Many city water departments have come out with a strict watering guide. This guide will direct you on the days and times that you can water your yard.
